2. What data we collect — and why
We only process the data we actually need for the relevant purpose:
- Contact and service requests: name, email, optional phone, your message, and the additional details you enter in the inquiry form (e.g. format, quantity, number of items). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures).
- Customer portal account: name, email, password hash, optionally phone, company, address. We also store timestamps for your AGB acceptance, email verification and last login. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
- Orders, invoices, messages, files: the content required to fulfil your order. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR plus Spanish tax-retention rules.
- Server log data: on each request, IP, date, time, resource, user-agent. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in stability and IT security), retained for max. 30 days.
- Anti-spam throttling: for at most 1 hour per IP we keep a count of form submissions to slow bot floods, then auto-delete. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
3. Cookies and tracking (Matomo)
We only set strictly necessary cookies (the login session cookie and the cookie-banner choice). Tracking happens via our self-hosted Matomo Analytics at analytics.pixeliaelectronics.com — only if you have explicitly consented via our cookie banner.
Until you consent, Matomo sets no cookies and no data leaves our infrastructure. You can revoke consent at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent), in line with Art. 22(2) LSSI-CE.
4. Recipients / processors
We do not sell personal data to third parties. Recipients within the meaning of the GDPR are exclusively:
- Our hosting provider running the website and its databases (servers in the EU). A data-processing agreement (DPA) is in place.
- Our email provider for sending and receiving the communication with you.
- Tax advisors / authorities, where required by law (tax, trade, professional regulations).
No data is transferred to third countries outside the EU/EEA.
5. Retention periods
- Inquiries that did not lead to a contract: up to 6 months, then deletion.
- Customer accounts: for as long as the account exists; afterwards, retention of accounting-relevant data for 6 years (Spanish tax law).
- Submitted media content (digitisation data): after delivery and full payment, production copies are deleted; archive backup only on explicit customer request.
- Server logs: 30 days.
- Anti-spam throttling: 1 hour.
6. Your rights
You have the right, at any time, to:

- Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
